Captiva Preps for Expansion While Launching New Website Management System
St. Louis (May 2010) -- Captiva Marketing prepares to take calculated risk with launch of new search engine friendly web content management system. After posting $2.2 million in revenue in 2009 and ranking as one of the fastest growing companies in the country by Inc. magazine, the search engine marketing firm is debuting a new website management system called Empoweren that company management hopes will transform its business.
Based on anticipated growth, Captiva is doubling their office space in Sunset Hills, considering further expansion of its Dallas office, and projecting to add at least 15 new employees over the next 5 years.
For a company that primarily builds websites and provides search engine marketing services, it may seem odd to introduce a solution that enables companies to do more of this on their own by allowing users to build and edit web pages, optimize pages for search engines and publish and distribute news releases without the need for programming or design staff.
"As SEO consultants, we consistently tell clients that they need to update their site content and publish news releases on a regular basis in order to enhance their presence in the search engines," said Mark Forst, President of Captiva Marketing. "However, the process to do so often requires multiple people including someone with web programming skills so it can be slow and expensive."
The Empoweren CMS streamlines the editing process and eliminates these costly updates by making it easy for non-technical personnel to maintain websites. Every aspect of the system was built with usability and search engine friendliness as its two key driving forces and the company methodically moved new and existing clients to the system over the past year in order to ensure that it achieved these goals.
As a result, many of Captiva's clients no longer have to engage Captiva for easy updates, posting news releases, optimizing landing pages and the like.
"While the Empoweren system has and will continue to eliminate some of the work we do for clients, it has freed our SEO consultants, designers and developers to focus more of their efforts on strategic and creative initiatives that our clients really want. Even for clients that wanted us to keep managing all aspects of their websites, the software streamlined our internal process and reduced their costs. Ultimately, our ability to help companies set up their own online marketing and social media programs has proven to be more successful a business model and one that should be a new engine of growth for our company," said Forst.
Empoweren has already been implemented by almost 100 websites, most notably local organizations such as The City of Chesterfield, St. Louis County Economic Council, Amini's, Friends of Kids with Cancer, 54th Street Bar and Grill, Windows Off Washington, Wiese Material Handling and The Workout Co.
"This past year was extremely successful for our company. By becoming partners with our clients and working to give them solutions that meet their needs, we were able to grow our business based on strong business principles. We look forward to continuing to contribute to the St. Louis business economy in the coming years by adding jobs to the area and by helping St. Louis companies prosper," said Forst.
